RIMS appeal to stop violence in campus
IMPHAL, July 18: Reacting to the incident of the explosion of a powerful hand grenade hurled by unidentified miscreants inside the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Lamphelpat campus yesterday, an official RIMS press statement pointed out that RIMS is a campus where medical, dental and nursing colleges are located.
“Students from other states in general and NE region in particular, are undergoing studies here. Besides, patients from far and wide have been coming for quality treatment at affordable expenses”, the statement said.
“From time to time, the peaceful academic atmosphere is vitiated with violent incidents which is regrettable. The Director and all staff appeals to one and all not to disturb the hospital and academic atmosphere of RIMS campus”, it concluded.
