If Naga peace talk affects Territorial Integrity, Manipuri people will not kept silent: UCM

Imphal Oct 19: We the people of Manipur greet the peace talk of Nagaland and Government of India for the settlement Naga people living in the Nagaland. However if government of India and government of Manipur comes against the wishes and sentiment of the Manipur general people, the United Committee Manipur (UCM) along with state general public will not be a silent spectators.

This was stated by the UCM president Y. Nabachandra while speaking to media persons in a press conference held at its office Lamphel in Imphal.

Speaking to media person he said, the UCM would not like to disintegrate among the ethnic groups of Manipur for the shake of Peace talk between Government of India and NSCN (IM).

The United Committee of Manipur like a transparent peace talk of Naga issues with the government of India. And if the talks fail and affected Manipur integration and theTerritorial Integrity of Manipur, The people of Manipur will seriously condemn the resolution of the peace talk.

And the UCM along with general people of state demanded for the Pre-Merger Agreement Status if the peace talks affected the Manipur Territorial Integrity added the UCM president.
