Passing out held at MPTC Pangei

IMPHAL, Nov 12 :Passing out parade of the 54th batch of MR, IRB (Die in Harness) and the 11th batch RTO was celebrated today at Manipur Police Training College, Pangei.

The passing out parade was participated by 436 new-ly recruited police personnel including 175 Havildars, 69 personnel of the 54th batch of Manipur Rifles and IRB (Dies and Harness) and 192 Radio Telephone Operators.

Speaking at the passing out parade, Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam noted that Manipur Police Training College have produced many reputed police officers who took key roles in maintaining law and order of the State.

Exhorting Manipur Police to be inquisitive about everything, Gaikhangam asked all police personnel not to forget what they learnt during their training period.

Those who have passed out from the training session should discharge their duties with dedication.

Police modernisation would serve no purpose if police personnel are not trained properly and those who have taken the oath of office and secrecy should always abide by the oath. He also called upon all police personnel not to forsake people’s trust because of their own actions.

If police believe in their duty and act accordingly, there would be no difficulty in maintaining rule of law.

Manipur’s location has attained great significance following conception of India’s Look East Policy.

Noting that culture and sports are two areas because of which Manipur is known all over the world, Gaikhangam called upon the police force to work sincerely so that Manipur and its reputation attains a higher pedestal.

The passing out parade was also attended by MLA E Chand and DGP Y Joykumar.
