Governor's Diwali greetings
IMPHAL, Nov 12 : Governor Gurbachan Jagat, Chief Minister O Ibobi, DGAR Lt Gen Ranbir, AVSM, SM and IGAR (S) Maj Gen UK Gurung and all ranks of Assam Rifles have extended heartiest greetings to the people of the State on the propitious occasion of Diwali.
Mentioning that Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated to mark the victory of good over evil, Governor Gurbachan Jagat wished the lights of Diwali dispel not only darkness, but also mistrust, strife and discord among the people of the State and promote goodwill and bonhomie.
In his message, CM O Ibobi called upon the people to imbibe the ideals associated with this festival to foster the spirit of amity, harmony and goodwill in their lives.
“May this festival bring peace and prosperity to the people of Manipur,” said the DGAR in his greeting message.
The IGAR (S) wished the noble ideals of the festival usher in peace, prosperity and happiness in the region.
