Manipur present issues will be tabled In Lok Sabha Winter Session,


IMPHAL, Nov 9: The seven opposition political parties of Manipur submitted a memorandum to Meira Kumar, speaker Lok Sabha demanding to take up necessary action upon the malpractice being held in the state Manipur.

This was stated by the convener of the seven opposition (CPI, CPI-M, BJP, JD-U, JD- S, MPP and AITC) parties Dr. M Nara Singh while briefing to state media today at Janata Dal (United) office located at Babupura.

Speaking to media persons, convener further said, in the memorandum it is mentioned that “we considered the Manipur State Assembly as the highest democratic institution of the people of the Manipur state. Anything wrong done by the Assembly Secretariat will have a far reaching negative consequence in the government administration and social life of the people” and urge the speaker to appraise a few events of nepotism, favoritism and corruption practiced by the Manipur Assembly Secretariat.

And further said that to save democracy and democratic institution the concerned authorities needs to look upon of such kind of malpractices.

Coming on the other topic Dr. M. Nara stated that the Inner Line Permit system, AFSPA 1958, and Loktak Lake issue, the seven political parties also submitted memorandum to all the opposition leaders of the Lok Sabha for consideration in forth-coming winter session Lok Sabha sitting, and hope that most of the leaders will raise in the sitting.

The co- convener of the parties, M Tombi, president JD-U, also mentioned that in recent journey to centre the seven oppositions political parties convey the central leaders that Manipur is becoming a lane of killing behind AFSPA and Manipur Assembly Secretariat as a corruption house.

And further mentioned that the peace talk between Government of India and NSCN (IM) is most welcome and hope this talk will solve the long awaited Naga issues, however if this talks affected state integrity and its territorial integrity then the state opposition parties will not be a silence spectators.

He also said that the seven political parties will continue stage a protest against such malpractice until the culprit were books and punished as a part to save the democracy and its institute.
