President Calls on Exporters to Imbibe the Mantras of Quality, Professionalism and Transparency in Dealing with Trading Partners
New Delhi, October 5: The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee called on exporters to imbibe the mantras of quality consciousness, professionalism in service delivery and complete transparency and fairness in dealing with trading partners. The President was speaking on the occasion of the presentation of Federation of Indian Export Organization’s Niryat Shree and Niryat Bandhu awards at New Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, the President advised exporters to remember that their products reflect not only the image of their company or their brand but also, more importantly, the image of India as a source of top quality products. The President said that exports have a very important role to play in the economic growth of our country. The contribution that this sector makes to employment is of utmost importance to our vision of equitable and inclusive growth.
The President said FIEO and other business organizations along with the Government should help in exploring new markets. In addition, India must focus on products of high export intensity which are currently having low penetration in overseas markets. An interactive and coordinated approach is particularly important in times of global stress.
The President stressed that working together, with innovation and dynamism, we can realize our collective destiny to be a great nation.
