Manipur have man made violence not natural- ADGP Manipur
Imphal Oct 10 (UNA) : Over 12 million earthquake are taking place in different part of the world and over one lakh thunder storms, over ten thousand floods, hundreds of landslide, dozen of hurricanes tsunamis and other natural disaster occurred in the world but Manipur have man made violence said ADGP LM Khaute on Wednesday.
Additional DGP, LM Khaute was speaking as a chief guest in the observance of International Day for Natural Disaster Reduction.
Manipur is not the nature of which we aware of in prevailing, we have different forms of violence which is the man made violent this also a king of man make disaster, suddenly in big city a bomb blast occurred and made human casualties and we have to think how this scenario should be cop up such incident in the event of such happening in our state or in our country said LM Khaute.
And further the addl. DGP mentioned that the main objective of such programme is to spread awareness and promote among the people about the “culture disaster risk reduction” in Manipur, under the aegis of United Nation Organization (UNO).
The International Day for natural Disaster reduction was today observed at 1st Manipur Rifle banquet hall, jointly organized by department of Relief and Disaster Management Government of Manipur and Royal Rider Manipur.
The observance were attended by Additional Director General, LM Khaute IPS, Principal Secretary, Relief and Disaster Management government of Manipur, Dr. Suhel Akhtar IAS and Retd Addlt SP, Ksh Janma as chief guest, president and guest of honour.
During the function the chief guest and president also distributed prizes to the toppers in the spot painting competition and essay writing competition, which included cast and certificate awards.
