Two women cadres of PREPAK arrested along huge ammunitions : Thoubal SP

Imphal, Oct 10(UNA): A huge numbers of IED and Lethod bombs were recovered by the police commandos of Thoubal district in a search operation conducted at Usoipokpi Thongkhong areas from a two ladies on Wednesday.

This was stated by Thoubal district SP Dr. AK. Jhalajit while briefing media persons at his office chamber this afternoon.

Narrating to the media persons the SP said today afternoon at around 2:20 pm while the CDOs Thoubal were conducting an search operation in the areas of Usoipokpi Thongkhong areas where they came across two suspected women and detained for verification, and later from them four numbers of IED bomb and 8 numbers of lethod bomb were recovered with mobile and other belonging.

Later the two arrested women are identified as Th. Sunibala alias Abem (27) daughter of Th. Mithoi and Haobam Naobi alias Nanao (23) daughter of H. Lalji of Khongjom Langthabal Khunou Mayai Leikai.

The SP further said that in preliminary interrogation the arrested women disclosed that they are active member of PREPAK and working under IED experts of PREPAK outfit identified as self style sergeant major Laphoi from Lilong and self style captain Nanao alias Ngongocha of Kakwa Bengul Makhong, Imphal West.
