Homage paid to the soul demised forefathers

Imphal, Oct 1: The Langban charatamba/Tarpan Katpa to the soul of demised forefathers was held at Lilong Chajing Pukhri Achouba, Imphal west district on Monday.

The occasion was attended by the Maharaja of Manipur Leisemba Sanajaoba, Y.Pocha singh, President Chajing Lakpa Pureilomba Thougal Asin Lup and Ningthouja Lancha, Film maker as chief guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively.

During the occasion the Maharaja of Manipur said that the tributary function of our forefathers is encouraging and it will promote the movement of indigenous culture in the state.

This tribute to our departed forefathers is respect till today’s elders also said the Maharaj.

The titular King further appealed to the organiser to perform this tributary function in the near future so that our culture is foster/upheld in the international level.

The function was organised by Living Art Manipur.
