Three killed including two AR jawans, six injured in Manipur blast

Imphal, Sep 28:In yet another attack on security force by the militants two Assam rifles jawan and one civilian died in an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) blast, even as six persons sustain injury including one civilian at Chandel district said a police source on Friday.
The IED blast took place when the 24 AR were on foot patrolling this evening around 2 pm in Kotha area in Chandel district under Moreh police station.
According to police, the suspected IED was planted under a culvert on the inter village road of Kotha. In the attack two personnel of 24 Assam rifle along with one civilian was reported dead, while another four personnel of the AR and one civilian sustained injured.
The decease civilian is indentified as one Ningthoujam Sangaijao of Kotha a farmer and the two AR jawan who died on the spot identified as Rajendra and Kulvinder both riflemen and the four AR personnel is yet to be identified though the injure civilian has been identified as Kaboklei Devi and A. Apao devi
Source also said that the four injure AR personnel who sustained injuries in the blast are hospitalized at Leimakhong army camp.
The attack on the central security force is suspected to be carried out by RPF/PLA said a police source though there is no claim so far from any UGs group.
