Protest against the kidnapping of Irabanta in Imphal city

Imphal, September 5: The JAC against the abduction of I.Irabanta by NSCN (IM) and civil organizations launched protest on Wednesday by demanding to find out the whereabouts of Irungbam Iranbanta Meitei within 5 days from today on Wednesday.

Today all Ima market of the Khwairamband was closed and organized a sit in protest at the three Ima bazar.

During the protest, Ima Mangi said to the media persons that the state government should find out the whereabouts of I. Irabanta who is missing since May within five days, and government should clarify whether he is still alive or not.

Failure on which the JAC with and the civil organization will launched various form of agitation she added.

Later, from the sit in protest area, the protestor organized a protest rally for the submission of memorandum to the State Chief Minister, O. Ibobi Singh.

After going for some meter of rally the Imphal west police and city police Imphal stop the rallies proceeding towards the chief minister secretariat. Later, understanding was brought between the protestor and police, and made them submit their memorandum to CM.
