Panchayat Poll: Repoll in 8 polling station-today
Imphal, Sep 15: A fresh poll in the eight polling station of the four valley district will take place on Saturday said a press release of the state election commission by declaring void of those voted on Thursday.
For Imphal East district in two polling station a fresh poll will be held which includes12/9/10 Phunal maring Junior High School where ballot boxes were snatched and in 17/24/1 Andro Khunou UJB School where polled ballot papers inside the ballot box spoilt by unknown persons.
And in Imphal West district 3/9/1 Yengkhom Leirak Community hall (W/W) Ballot papers snatched and in 12/8/4 in the polling station of Nambul Mapal high School the ballot box and polling materials were destroyed.
In Thoubal district where all of the polling station were hyper sensitive but in only one polling station a fresh poll will take place in 16/14/1 wangjing Khunou L.P School where a ballot papers snatched and counterfoils were destroyed said the official report.
And for Bishnupur district repolls will take place in three polling stations which are 6/12/ 1 Phuballa High School where some of the candidates’ workers snatched the ballot papers and destroy it and in polling station of 9/6/4 Thanga Samukol Primary School ballot boxes and polling materials were snatched by unknown person and again in the polling station number 9/6/10 Thanga Salam Government High School where ballots papers for Zilla parishad constituency were spoiled said the official reports.
Howeber, the official of the state election commission are silent over the polling station where no one has turn up to cast there votes in most of the 18 villages who exercise there right during the Autonomous District Council Election which are included again in the Panchayti RaJ election.
