MPP appeal Union Home Minister to withdraw his controversial statement

Imphal, Sep 26: Manipur People’s Party (MPP) Advisor O. Joy Singh said that the Union Home Minister Shusilkumar Shinde to withdrawn his controversial message in connection with a private member’s resolution, demanding the introduction of inner-line permit system or else the MPP will pursue.
MPP advisor said a reference is invited to the statement of the Union Home Minister made on 10th Sept, in New Delhi in connection with a Private Member’s Resolution, demanding the introduction of inner-line permit system, which was passed unanimously in the last session of the Manipur Legislative Assembly held on the 13th July 2012.
The Union Home Minister has turns down Rio, Ibobi proposals” to introduce inner-line permit in various national newspapers, in terse message to the congress-led Manipur and said “Our constitution will not allow such things. Any sensible person who believes in the constituency will not pass such bill” added O Joy.
The statement of the Union Home Minister stated on September 10th is quite unfortunate and condemnable, and “I condemn it” because it’s a casts of serious reflection on the image of the Manipur Legislative Assembly and lowers down its dignity, which represents the entire people of the state.
O Joy also added that the State animal Sangai is protected by the government laws, we the people living in the country, the indigenous tribe’s peoples needed to protected by laws, or else the rich culture of the Indian country might lose in near future.
The MPP advisor, further appeal to the union home minister to withdraw his controversial statement.
