Freshers Meet cum Felicitation Programme.

KANGPOKPI, Sept.8: The Kuki Students’ Organisation Sadar Hills organized Fresher’s Meet especially for the Kuki students studying in Don Bosco College, Maram and the Mt. Everest College, Taphou Senapati in collaboration with the EIMI Students’ Fellowship, which is a fellowship constituted by all the non-Naga tribal under the theme “Know Thy Roots” today at Kanggui Christian College, Kangpokpi.

The function was graced by Smt. Nemcha Kipgen, MLA Kangpokpi AC and Shri. Doulet Khongsai, Principal, Kanggui Christian College as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.

Smt. Nemcha Kipgen, MLA Kangpokpi AC appreciated the organizing Committee and encouraged the fresher’s to struggle hard to achieve their goal.

She advised the students if they want to become well known persons in future they should always keep their parents words. Follow the words of your beloved parents, it will lead to achieve your goal said the MLA to the students.

She appreciated the theme “Know Thy Roots”. To become a real human being, everyone should know their origin or roots. So, I believe the EIMI Students Fellowship change the living status of students from good to better and better to best among the students welfare, said Nemcha.

She further advised the students to keep one straight aim and struggle hard to achieve the same. They should not mingle with many aims because it will lead to nothing in their future.

She also encourages the student’s welfare to eradicated unfair means in the present education system.

The MLA handover a memento as an award to 13 students who excel in the last Council and University Examination.

Chemistry 9th rank, Seikhohao Touthang, B.Sc. Botany 5th rank, Liansuanmung Guite, BA History 1st rank, Lian Jonathan, BA Pol.Sc. 6th rank and Peter Dousuanmung, BCA 2nd rank were the award winner.

The organizing Committee selected Miss Lhingngaiching, B.Sc. 1st Semester and Mr. Lamginmang Hangshing, BA 1st Semester as Miss and Mr. Fresher’s 2012 respectively.
