Kothajit gets Rs. 20 lakhs from the state government
Imphal Aug 27: Kh. Kothajjit Singh a member of Indian Hockey contingent as a reserve player in the recently concluded London Olympics, 2012 was given a cash awards of Rs. 20 lakhs by the state government in the presence of Kh Dhanajoy Singh father of Kothajit and his guardians on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that the government had to accord Olympic status to the hockey player from the state, Kh Kothajit since he had been qualified for the Indian Team for London Olympics. He further expressed his unhappiness for Kothajit’s exclusion in the reception ceremony of the London Olympians.
In today simple reception program of Hockey Olympian, Manipur Olympic Association President Bijoy Koijam, YAS director H. Deleep Singh, Former Olympian and Manipur Hockey President Ksh. Thoiba Singh, Posterist Hockey Academy Imphal secretary Ksh Romesh Singh and officials of the sport department were also attended the occasion.
