Union Home Secretary Reviews Assam Situation
New Delhi, August27: Union Home Secretary Sh. R.K. Singh today reviewed the situation of relief camps in Assam with the State Director General of Police Sh. J.N. Chaudhary and Principal Home Secretary Sh. Shailesh.
The number of relief camps has gone down from 340 to 218 as on today and the number of persons in the relief camps has also reduced to 2.3 lakhs.
During the meeting, health care measures, water supply and sanitation situation in addition to safety and security in the relief camps was also reviewed.
