CPI demand all India political party meet regarding the Assam issue
Imphal, Aug 27: Manipur State Council, Communist Party of India (CPI) demand to the central government for all Political Party meeting at centre to chalk out a policy on the going clash of Assam at the earliest, and to recommend a clear National Policy on the migrants.

Speaking to media persons, he said the fallout of the Kokrajhar event of Assam has created a panic situation throughout the country not only of the North Eastern State of India.
It is chronic unabated political problems, the government at the centre and government of Assam have to thrash out this problem. This explosive situation has arisen out of the non-serious attitude of both the central government and state government of Assam. There can be more serious crisis of this nature and complications are bound to appear extending the same fate to Manipur and other parts of the northeast.
He also said that the CPI took this issue seriously, and this matter will discuss in CPI National Council meeting which is going to be held on 5-7 September at New Delhi, and hope that the meet will bring out an appropriate policy regarding the issue.
