Jadonang memorial tribute
IMPHAL, August 28: As a mark of respect to the martyred soul of freedom fighter, Haipou Jadonang Malangmei, a public ceremony will be held tomorrow morning, August 29 at 8 am at the Memorial site erected near Keishamthong Power house just behind the Central Jail.
The observation coincides with the 81st dead anniversary of the late freedom fighter. In a statement issued to the press, the Death Anniversary Observation Committee of Haipou Jadonang informed one and all to attend the ceremony where floral tributes will be paid during the ceremony.
The martyred freedom fighter fought and rebelled against the British rule and faced his death at the gallows pole with pride.
