One Year Extension for Maharashtra Project

New Delhi, October 31: Planning Commission has given extension to Krishna-Koyna Lift Irrigation Project of Maharashtra, the Government of Maharashtra had requested for extension of one years’ time period without any increase in the cost of the project for which investment clearance was accorded.

The scheme will have to execute as per the approved outlay in the State Plan and should be completed by 2014-15 i.e. by 31st March 2015. The State Finance Department would restrict the expenditure to the approved cost and no additional expenditure beyond the approved cost may be permitted unless the revised estimate is got approved following the prescribed procedure.
