Four Year Extension for Madhya Pradesh Project
New Delhi, October15:Planning Commission has agreed to extend time for the completion of Bargi Diversion Project, (MP) by four years. The project shall how be completed by the financial year 2016-17 and plan accounts will be closed by 31st March, 2017. The project may accordingly be executed as per approved outlays in the State Plan. The State Finance Department would restrict the expenditure to the approved cost and no additional expenditure beyond approved cost may be permitted unless the revised estimate is got approved following the prescribed procedure.
The State Government requested for extension of four years time period for completion of aforesaid project. Now, on the request of the Vice Chairman NVDA, the Planning Commission, after examination of the said request, agrees for the extension of time period.
