Pune and Bangalore calm

IMPHAL,August 20: There are no reports of unwanted incidents happening to north east students at Pune or Bangalore.

Official sources intimated IFP that, Clay Khongsai (DIG Range 1) presently at Bangalore to monitor the situation met with tribal church pastors and discussed events at lenghth today.

Likewise, Chandel SP, E Priyokumar also went to Kondhwa area of Pune and met the Joint Commissioner of Police. He also met a Minister and MLA of Nagaland including members of NE Forum. It was informed that only one person from the north east left Pune today.

Ranjan Yumnam, MCS also mentioned to IFP that there are no unwanted incidents happening at Gauhati. The official team led by additional secretary of Home department, Yaiskul Meitei are presently monitoring and facilitating the students arriving at Gauhati from Pune and Bangalore. At least 60 Manipuris arrived at Gauhati from different States, he mentioned.
