Pawar to Inaugurate National Horticulture Conference on 17th July
New Delhi, July 15: A national level Conference is being held here on 17th July, to deliberate upon the issues of topical importance, progress and significant achievement of National Horticulture Mission and Horticulture Mission for North East and Himalayas and for finalizing the road map for horticulture development during XII plan. Representatives from State Governments, Agriculture Universities, ICAR Institutions and other stakeholders shall be participating.
The Conference will be inaugurated by Union Agriculture Minister Shri Sharad Pawar.
This Conference will have a series of technical sessions on different aspects of horticulture, ranging from production to processing and marketing. Special sessions will be held on strengthening cold chain, horticulture production issues and challenges, tropical, subtropical, temperate fruit crops, plantation and ornamental plants, tuber crops, recommended technologies for commercial production and on vegetables and spices.
