ICSU demands revocation of transfer order, threaten stirs
In a statement issued by S Sushikanta Singh, gen sec, ICSU, the union stated that the college has been already facing shortage of lecturers and that the transfer order came as a surprise to students of the college.
It further said that the decision came at a crucial time when the semester system session had just started and subsequently would lead to disturbances in academic atmosphere and denial of students’ right.
“The concerned authority should revoke the decision before July 19 or else the union would resort to series of agitation including class boycott,’’ it cautioned.
While urging the concerned authority to fill up post of lecturers already lying vacant instead of issuing the tranfer order, it further appealed to Principal of the college not to grant release order of the two lecturers looking after the plight of students of the college.
