Dr Ambedkar National Fellowship Award

IMPHAL,Jan 8: Seram Neken Singh, a freelance columnist based at Imphal has been awarded the Dr Ambedkar National Fellowship Award,2012 by the Bhartiya Dalit Sahitya Academy, New Delhi.

According to a release, the fellowship award is given in recognition for his contribution towards the upliftment of the society through his writings. He has contributed more than 300 feature articles on various themes to local newspapers and online journals. The award consisting of a citation and medals were distributed on 9 December, 2012 at the 28th national conference of Bhartiya Dalit Sahitya Academy held at Panchsheel Ashram, New Delhi, it added.
