Sensex ends up by 131 points
Mumbai, Nov 21: The Sensex held on to intraday gains and was firmly placed above the 18,400 level on Wednesday, led by gains in realty, banks and technology sectors, even as the European markets opened on a subdued note.
The 30-share index Sensex closed at 18460.38 , up 131.06 points.
It touched a high of 18,478.50 and a low of 18,309.81 in trade on Wednesday.
The Nifty was at 5614.80, up 43.25 points.
It touched a high of 5,620.20 and a low of 5,561.40 in trade on Wednesday.
The BSE Midcap Index was up 0.37 per cent and the BSE Smallcap Index moved up 0.39 per cent.
