KCP leader Taibanganba arrives at Imphal

IMPHAL, Nov 13: KCP-MTF (City Meitei) general secretary Dilip alias Taibanganba landed at Imphal today to finalise the ground work for a ceasefire pact and political dialogue with both the State and Central Governments.

Dilip alias Taibanganba was escorted from New Delhi till Imphal by a police team led by SP (Prisons) IK Muivah. Now 37 years old Haobijam Dilip alias Taibanganba of Bishnupur Ward No 11 joined the UG group about 6/7 years back.

He was arrested by security forces from Shillong about two years back. He was put in prison at Imphal for some period. But he re-joined his group soon after he was released from jail.

Family members who came to receive Dilip at Imphal airport said that they were happy at Dilip’s change of mind towards a peaceful life.
