K Rahman Khan Releases a Book on Commissioner for Linguistic Minorities
New Delhi, Nov 8: K. Rahman Khan, Union Minister of Minority Affairs released a book “An Introduction to CLM Organisation” here today. Speaking on the occasion the Minister commended the efforts made by the Commissioner for Linguistic Minorities (CLM) and emphasized that constitutional provisions need legislative support for effective implementation.
The Minister said that what is enshrined in the Constitution is very sacrosanct and. Referring to various languages spoken in different states, the Minister said that linguistic minorities not having any State patronage need to be safeguarded more.
The book by Dr. Nandlal Jotwani, Commissioner for Linguistic Minorities (CLM) aims at creating awareness about constitutional rights and nationally agreed safeguards for the linguistic minorities and useful information related to them.
The Commissioner for Linguistic Minorities (CLM) is a Constitutional Authority empowered to investigate all matters pertaining to constitutional rights and nationally agreed safeguards for the linguistic minorities.
