Photo Electoral Rolls published

As per a schedule fixed by the Election Commission of India, the draft consolidated and integrated Photo Electoral Rolls (PERs) of all the 60 Assembly Constituencies of Manipur have been published today by the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) concerned.

A special feature of these draft rolls is that they are 100 per cent photo bearing which means Manipur is one of the few States in India which has achieved 100 per cent PER.

Total number of voters according to the draft rolls is 17,03,280 (male-8,33,818 and female-8,69,462).

People/electors and representatives of political parties may inspect/verify the draft PERs at the offices of the EROs/AEROs and all the designated locations (polling stations) from October 1 to October 31.

They may also file claims/objections/corrections in the prescribed forms which are available free of cost at these designated locations and also at the offices of EROs/AEROs on all working days during the same period, said a press release issued by Chief Electoral Officer PC Lawmkunga.
