'"State Body Builders are discriminated by the Government"

Imphal, Sep 10: Bodybuilders of Manipur has been discriminated by the central and state government which is one of the most important events in games and sports said Samom Dhruba Singh, chief coach of United Gym.

Two time Mr. Universe title holders and a 13 times National champion, Arambam Boby Singh of Manipur is serving as a mere clerk in North Eastern Railway Frontier in Guwahati which is very low comparing to his achievement said the chief coach.

In the year 1970 Mr. Maipak Singh of Manipur win gold medal in bodybuilding was facilitated by the government with an adequate but since then not single bodybuilders has been getting any help or support from the government side.

Bodybuilding needs a lot of diet which is very expensive but the government is ill-treating, every sports person of any events need to go to gym for a fitness but the government discriminate those who are building there body in spite of its important.

The cricket team of India who are highly paid go to gym for fitness, then why ill-treatment who is professional in bodybuilders by the central as well the state government added the chief coach of two times Mr. Universe.
Currently Boby Singh is practicing to compete in the coming Mr. World Body Builder Championship (Mr. Universe) at Bangkok, Thailand from December 4th to 10th of this year, without a single help from the government side.

Boby Singh started his carrier as a bodybuilders in the year 1995 where he get the title of overall champion in junior Mr. Manipur the same year. Since then there was no looking back as he keep on winning in any event of bodybuilder championship said Dhruba.

In the All India Railway Body Building Championship, Boby participated for 14 times where he secure 1st place for twelve times and placed second for twice.

And in the National Championship he participated for 17 times between 1996 till date he hold the title of 13 times National Champion including the recent title of Mr. Indian Champion of the Champion held at Bider, Karnataka.
And again in the International Championship he has so far participated in 10 events where he took the title of Mr. Universe for twice including the last year title said the chief coach.

In spite of bring fame for the country as well for the state he has been discouraged by the government by not recognising his achievement.

The brand ambassador of Manipur Aids Control Society (MACS) Pradeep Singh who is also holding Mr. India title in spite of AIDS affected person, he builds his body a compete in a body building championship in the world.

Even the MACS promise to give every diet of to there brand ambassador but failed.
There are many youth who wants to be professional body builders admiring Boby and Pradeep said Dhruba Singh.
