Senapati district police rescue abducted two persons

Imphal, Sept 6: Senapati district police rescue two abducted persons who are abducted by unknown suspected armed person.

According to press statement released by the SP, Senapati district said that yesterday at about 8.30 p.m. Senapati District Police rescued 2(two) abducted persons namely T. Somorjit Singh and Okram Rohan Singh both of Wangjing, Thoubal District and recovered one hijacked Bolero from Taphou area.

Released further said that yesterday at about 8.00 p.m. some unknown persons had forcibly abducted 2(two) persons and hijacked one Bolero bearing No. ASO/1AV/2357 near the Taphou Iron Factory on NH-2 and taken to unknown location.
On getting the information, the Senapati District Police pressed into action immediately and search operation was launched.

In that, the abducted persons were rescued and hijacked vehicle was recovered. Further, the Bolero bearing Regn. No. NL-07C/1689 used by the accused persons along with one mobile phone was also seized. However, taking the advantage of darkness, the accused persons escaped. In this connection a case has also been registered in Senapati Police Station.
