ICC and NEC organized Media Fam Tour

Guwahati ,September 27: With an object to promote North Eastern States of India not only as a favourite tourist spot but also as an ideal investment destination, the North Eastern Council (NEC), Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region (DoNER), Government of India sponsored a MEDIA FAM TOUR for the North Eastern States of India being conceptualized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce
(ICC).

Ishantor Sobhapandit, Regional Director, North Eastern Region-Indian Chamber of Commerce congratulating all the associations and bodies associated with the tourism development said that ICC is committed towards promoting tourism for economic sustainability.

He further added that for a better understanding of the rich natural offerings of Northeastern states and explore the accessibility and ease of reaching the tourist destinations existing in these states and also to
highlight the industrial feasibility of the region and the rich natural resources of the which may interest the industrialist invest in the states, the ICC along with North Eastern Council, Ministry of DoNER Govt. of India organized the media familirisation tour recently which will culminate with Assam and Meghalaya scheduled for November.

So far twelve national media houses clubbed in a group of four were taken around in two states each and the response has been tremendous.
