Liquor seized in Kangpokpi
KANGPOKPI, Jun 1: Kangpokpi Police seized 600 litres of local made liquor this morning at around 5 am at Keithelmanbi and Kalapahar respectively.
According to a police statement, the liquor were seized from unauthorized possession of Mema(45), Chaobi(43), Ganga(40) of Sekmai and Sita Khongsai (42) w/o Thanglal Khongsai of Kangpokpi.
The three women from Sekmai were carrying the liquor by Senapati bound bus. They supply the items at Kalapahar while Sita and her husband carry the seized liquor in their Maruti 800 bearing Regd.No. ML058-0744. They supply in an around I.T. Kangpokpi, the statement further said.
The police along with the Local Youth Union, Women Organisation and the Town Committee later destroyed the seized liquor.
