Financial Assistance of Rs 23 Crore approved Under Scheme of Urban Sports Infrastructure
New Delhi, June 14: Financial Assistance of Rs 23 Crore Approved Under Scheme of Urban Sports Infrastructure Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MYAS) has approved the proposals worth Rs 23 crore of States of Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Manipur for financial assistance under the scheme of Urban Sports Infrastructure (USIS) for creation of sports infrastructure facilities of Multi-purpose indoor hall and synthetic Hockey playfield.
As per approved proposals, in Chhattisgarh, a Multi-purpose hall would be constructed in the tribal District of Kondagaon. A grant-in-aid of 6.00 cr. would be provided to the Government of Chhattisgarh to execute the project. In Haryana, a synthetic Hockey playfield would be laid in the sports complex at Hisar. Grant-in-aid of 5.00 cr. would be provided to the Government of Haryana for this purpose. In Rajasthan, a Multi-purpose indoor hall would be constructed at Karauli, District Karauli with a Central grant of 6.00 cr. In Manipur, a Multi-purpose indoor hall would be constructed in Senapati District with a Central grant of 6.00 cr. The grant-in-aid would be released to the States in installments.
