Career Counseling workshop concluded
Imphal : Under Manipuri Muslim Online Forum in partnership with Ascend Orb Academy, Guwahati a Career counseling workshop was held on Sunday at GP Women’s College, Imphal.
The workshop started with an interaction with Mr. Sabir Yumkhaibam. He shared his plans and strategies on cracking the UPSC Civil Services Exam this year.
He exhorted the students to take the exam as any other exam. However, consistency, determination, discipline are highly essential for cracking the exam according to him. He was fielded questions from the student crowd. Mr. Sabir responded these questions and concluded with the fact that there is no short cut to success.
Representing Ascend Orb Academy, its Operational Head, Akbar khan said, "One can’t enjoy any work as long as he is not enjoying it. Akbar tries to locate the psychological faculties of the students for pursuing the right careers with the help of questionnaire.
Mr. Abdus Salam, Deputy Secretary, Education (Schools) highlighted the benefits of being a civil servant. In his career, he has the opportunities to work for village communities in the interior villages of hill districts in the state."
The function concluded with a positive notes and lot of enthusiastic and eagerness to know more on the career options from the students and parent’s side Put together there were around 300 students and parents from different schools and college have come to attend to the program and reap the benefit.
