Ex-KNA cadre shot to death at Ccpur
Lamka, November 13: An ex-cadre of the underground group, Kuki National Army(KNA) was shot dead
yesterday around 11:00 PM at his residence in Ccpur district. According to police, the decease has been identified as Mangkhotinlal Haokip (37) s/o (late) Lhunkholet Haokip of Mata Lambulane. His dead body was taken by Ccpur police this morning at around 8:00 and kept at Dist Hopital Morgue. Police also recovered 2 empty cartridge of 9 mm pistol. Soon after Police and Doctor finished postmortem, his body was handed over ot his family.
Mangkhotinlal and his wife Hatkhonem @ Nenem have 2 sons and a daughter. During the time of this incident, they sleep on the floor where windows were left open, also there was electric where the killer could identified form window hole.
Mangkhotinlal received two bullet in his chest. According to his family, he retired form KNA some years back. No party claim responsibility for this incident. Police registered FIR No. 88 (11) 2013 CCP-PS U/S 447/400/302 IPC & 25(1-C) Arms Act and try to nab the culprit behind this incident.
