Department of Public Enterprises Condoles Untimely Demise of Dr. Nitish Sengupta
New Delhi, November 4: The Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, here today deeply condoled the untimely demise of Dr. Nitish Sengupta, Chairman, BRPSE (Board for Reconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises). Earlier in the day, Dr. Sengupta was cremated here at Lodhi Road crematorium.
Dr. Sengupta, 81, had died of heart attack at his residence here yesterday evening. He was Chairman of BRPSE since 2007 and played a stellar role in the turnaround and financial upkeep of a number of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) in the recent years; and had given away the ‘BRPSE Turnaround Award 2013’ to 4 CPSEs only the last Thursday.
