Grenade attack at hardware shop

IMPHAL, July 21: Two persons were injured during a grenade explosion at Sudhir Cement and steel Hardware Shop located at Hatta New Checkon road opposite Orient Hotel under Porompat Police station at around 11.10 am on Saturday.

The two received minor scratches and were discharged after applying first aid at the Public Hospital Hatta.

The shop is run by one Shikender Shah of Bihar who is presently staying at Majorkhul and the building belongs to one Makak Mayum Mangi of Hatta Golapati.

It may be mentioned that on November 16 last year, a similar kind of bomb attack was carried out by unidentified person(s) in which 3 persons were injured including Shikendar Shah, the P
roprietor of the Shop.
