Aid for differently abled distributed
IMPHAL, July 21: The state Dy CM Gaikhangam today distributed 216 hearing aids, 96 wheelchairs and 40 tricycles to differently-abled tribal beneficiaries at the Tribal Affairs and Hills Department office during a simple function on Saturday.
The distribution of the appliances was organized and sponsored by the Tribal Affairs and Hills Department.
Addressing the function, the Dy CM said that the government is there for the differently abled persons.
He said that today's distribution was just a token of love and care by the government for the differently abled.
Parliamentary Secretary Victor Keishing said the society should not neglect the differently abled individuals and should not allow them to feel neglected.
