Former Minister Allaudin passes away
Imphal, Oct 15: A veteran politician of Manipur died due to his personnel illness at New Delhi hospital said a family source on Monday.
The veteran politician enters the political world since two decades back after being a journalist and student leaders.
The former Minister of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj & Minority and other backwards classes Md. Allaudin khan of Kyamgei Muslim Awang Leikai passes away this evening at around 5 pm at Dharamsala Cancer Hospital located at Laxmi Nagar, New Delhi due to his prolong illness.
Hearing the news, today in the office chamber of the parliamentary secretary Amin Shah organized condolence service, and said to media persons that Md. Allauddin Khan was a man who works for the welfare of his people and mostly for Muslim communities by setting up various policies for development of Muslim communities.
In the meantime Md. Allauddin Khan was elected in the 8th Manipur Lagislative Assembly election 2002 in congress ticket and holds the minister seat of RD & PR and MOBC.
Later in the year 2007, he was re-elected to the 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly in same congress ticket and with addition another portfolio Science and technology, was added PR and MOBC.
However in 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly Md. Allauddin Khan was defeated.
On the other hand Md. Allauddin Khan was also given the responsibility as vice president of All Manipur Student Union (AMSU) and All Manipur Student Coordinating Committee (AMSCOC).
Md Allauddin Khan, who was born on 1st April, 1959 at Kiyamgei Muslim Awang leikai, Imphal East district was married to Sufura Begum, is surviving by four sons and two daughters.
