AR's JCO injured in bomb attack
Imphal Oct 15: A Junior Commanding Officer (JCO) of 33 Assam Rifle was reported seriously injured in IED blast which took place at Arong Nongmaikhong iron bridge this afternoon said a police source on Monday.
The incident took place at around 12:30 this afternoon under the Mayang Imphal police station when 33 Assam Rifle were on foot patrolling said official source.
Source further said that the injured JCO is identified as Negi Bora (52) JCO number JC3300132P of Almora in Assam and sustain injury in his leg and back side of his body, he has been transferred directly to the army hospital at Leimakhong.
The police suspected that the attack has been carried out related to the Black day general strike called by the CorCom.
