KSO-SH refute K’tongbi rally

KANGPOKPI, Oct.25: Kuki Students’ Organisation Sadar Hills refutes the protest rally organized by Federation of All Tribal Youth Clubs, Manipur (FATCYM) demanding decentralization of power and funds to streamline the existing practice of work allocation and administration in the department of Directorate of Tribal Affairs and Hills, Government of Manipur saying that they do not recognized the existence of FATCYM which organized the protest rally.

Lamcha Chongloi, the General Secretary of KSO Sadar Hills sturdily counter the protest rally saying that FATCYM was organizing the rally at some vested interest as all the demands made by them was already there.

He further said that, even the concern minister is tribal commissioner and director for TD is tribal too. Moreover, 50% of the TD fund is allotted to ADC’s, mentioned Lamcha.

The General Secretary of KSO Sadar Hills however said that, theology student may be given an opportunity to apply for their scholarship under TD and KSO Sadar Hills will after the grievances if not awarded.

He warned that no organisation shall organized any protest rally, bandh, dharna etc within Sadar Hills without prior formal intimation with the KSO Sadar Hills. He also asks the general public to be aware of such organisation that unnecessary disturb the peace loving public with unacceptable reason in the interest of some vested individuals.
