A woman with 105 grams of Heroin arrested

Imphal, Oct 18(UNA): Combine team of state Narcotic and Border Affairs (NAB) & Special Investigation Unit (SIU) arrested 105 gram of Heroin drug from one Muslim woman this evening at around 3 pm from in-front of Imphal police station.

Speaking to media persons official of the combined teams said, joint teams of NAB and SIU conducted a search operation in front of Imphal police station in vehicles came from Moreh (Nh-102) side as per specific information, of drugs (heroin) is being imported to Imphal from Moreh by one van.

And during the operation one woman was found in suspicious manner carrying some Myanmar made detergent namely TOP and super E-Lan in a van and she was detained. Who is identified as Abem begum (33) w/o Md. Sahinur of Hatta Minuthong.

From her the teams recovered one package of detergents and amongst a suspect surf (detergent) being re-packed and so the team detained her for further verification.

The suspected detergent package of super E-Lan 200 gram packed which was found repacked was later open by the NAB and CIU with the present of SDPO Imphal west N. Nimai and establish containing of Heroin drug weighing 105 gram.

And further the official of the NAB and CIU also tested the drugs for verification, before the media person as well in presents SDPO Imphal west police and found true.

While speaking to media person the arrested Abem Begum revealed that the Heroin was brought from Moreh in cost of Rs 1100 per gram, and the total cost is Rs 1,15,500 in local.
