Ganja load seized from truck at Jiribam, driver arrested
JIRIBAM, December 18: A team of the Jiribam police today seized Marijuana (Ganja) from a truck bearing registration no MN-04A-2555 at around 6.50 am from near a petrol pump of Jiribam. The truck was coming from Imphal towards Jiribam and the driver has been identified as L Robertson, 19, son of L Naba Kumar Singh, of Luker Maning Leikei, Imphal.
According to police report, 345 kgs of Ganja were seized consisting of 28 packets, 15 of which weigh 10 kgs each while the remaining 13 packets weigh 15 kgs each.
It is also learnt that the local price of the ganja is Rs 1400/kg.
