Tourism sector has big scopes for employment opportunity- CM
Imphal, November 30 : Chief Minister O. Ibobi Singh today said that Tourism Sector has big scopes for employment opportunity in the state which is gifted with natural beauties and rich cultural heritage.The government is trying to develop tourism industry on war footing.
Saying that tourism sector does not require big investment but good law & order situation which is conducive for attracting tourists and outside investors so appealed to all the hill and valley based to put heads together for resolving differences through dialogue to bring peace to the state. Without any lasting solution or peace there will be no development he added.
He was speaking as Chief Guest at the closing function of the Manipur Sangai Festival 2013 at the Bhagyachandra Open Air Theatre this evening.
He also launched Manipur’s 1st Mobile Application “Manipur the Jewelled Land “developed by Cube Ten Technologies in the function.
Dy. CM Gaikhangam who presided over the function, member NEC Madan Prasad Bezbaruah and Addl. Secy. Tourism Govt. of India Girish Shankar also spoke on the occasion.
