CCpur DC on ADHAR

LAMKA, May 17: Addressing a press meet on Friday, Maniram Sharma DC of Churachandpur said that the obtaining of Unique Identification Number (UID) or ADHAR will be a very positive step for the people and help to avail of the benefits from the government.

He announced that there are six locations in the district where people can get their biometric recordd taken and added that even BPL card holders still need to get the ADHAR.

He continued that almost 33% of the total registration of ADHAR has been completed in the district and added that the state govt directives is for the administration of CCpur to complete obtaining the biometric record by June 30.

The officer said that the need for the 12 digit UID is important for the people of CCpur because almost 90 percent of the families of the district are under BPL and they will need the card to avail their loan job cards and the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
