Shuumang Leela awards

IMPHAL, February 5:The results for the IX Shumang Leela Ningtham Kumhei organized by the Manipur State Shumang Leela Council and participated by 13 troupes was declared today at the Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen.

The jury members this year include Kangjia Mangang, S Tijendra, Makhonmani Mongshaba, Ksh Jugindro and Biswamitra.

The Best Production Award was bagged by the Sanaleipak Nachom Artistes for their leela "Ee Hari"; Wareppa Naba bagged the Best Director Award for Sangai Artistes Association's "Nupigee Thamoi"; the Best Actor Award went to Nilachandra of Sanaleipak Nachom Artistes, while Somorjit of Sanaleipak Nachom Artistes bagged the Best Actress Award.

Mani Yumnam of Naharol Khongthang Artistes Association bagged the Best Script Award for Nungshibageedamak and the Best Lyricist went to Lamjingba Artistes for the song "Pari Nawa Chaodriba".
