President’s Rule Imposed in Jharkhand
New Delhi, January 18, 2013: The President has today proclaimed the imposition of President’s Rule in Jharkhand under Article 356(1) of the Constitution.
The Union Cabinet in it’s meeting held on January 17, 2013 approved the proposal to issue a Proclamation imposing President’s Rule in the state of Jharkhand, keeping the State Legislative Assembly under suspended animation.
Shri Vijay Kumar former Director General CRPF and Shri Madhukar Gupta former Home Secretary have been appointed as Advisors to the Governor of Jharkhand.
