Stranded trucks cross NH-2, agitation to intensify
KANGPOKPI, Nov.21: 60 stranded loaded trucks crossed NH-2 with security escort today.
The trucks has been stranded at Senapati public ground since 3 days due to the ongoing Kuki State Demand Committee public blockade in every Kuki inhabitant areas in Manipur.
The stranded trucks left Senapati at around 12 noon with state security forces escorting them along the NH-2 with the help of the concerned police station.
The escorted trucks reached Kangpokpi at around 1:00pm. There is no untoward incident occurs.
Meanwhile all traffics and govt. institutions in Kangpokpi still remain closed due to the KSDC bandh.
According to a reliable source, 4 trucks have been severely damaged and one driver was injured at Kangpokpi yesterday. Confrontation among the bandh supporters and Kangpokpi Police occurred but no untoward incident happened.
Further the source added that the agitation may intensify in an aggressive ways from tomorrow in NH-2.
