BJP disapproves of Yashwant Sinha's public demand
New Delhi, Nov 20: The BJP disapproved senior leader Yashwant Sinha openly voicing the demand for party President Nitin Gadkari's resignation and appealed to him to reconsider it.
"Being a senior leader Yashwant Sinha has all forums of the party open to him for discussion. Instead he chose to go public over the issue, which the party deem inappropriate," Prasad said while addressing reporters after a NDA meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The BJP spokesman also appealed to the senior leader to reconsider his statement.
"Whether our party president is guilty or not is not the issue today. The issue is that all of us in public life should be beyond reproach," Yashwant Sinha, earlier in the day, had told a news agency.
The former Union minister said he has been "greatly saddened" by the events over the last few weeks.
The NDA meeting was also attended by senior BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj and LK Advani.
