Irabot anniversary in Bangladesh

IMPHAL, October 1: The Integrated Manipuri Association, Bangladesh organized the 116th Birth Anniversary of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot at the Irabot Complex at Vanubil, Bangladesh on October 30.

The observation was attended by numerous Manipuris residing in Bangladesh, said a press statement of the IMA, Bangladesh.

The observation started at 11am with the people offering floral tributes to the leader.

The offering of floral tributes was followed by a group discussion.

The discussion was presided over by IMA BANGLADESH president Md Abdul Mojid Choudhury with Bangladesh Manipuri Sahitya Sangsad, president AK. Seram as Chief Guest.

Bangladesh Manipuri Mahila Samity, president S Rina Devi, IMA Bangladesh, advisor Thongam Dhiren, Manipuri Sanskrity Parishad president Thongam Chandrakity, Bangladesh Manipuri Sahitya Sangsad, Kamalgonj Branch president Khoirom Indrajit as guests of honour also attended the discussion.

As part of the observation, a poem recital competition on two of Irabot’s poems Atumbagi leibak,

Ningthibi Ema Manipur was also held, said a press statement signed by its secretary general Thingujam Hiron.
